American Silver Eagle coins were introduced in 1986 as the official bullion coin of the United States. Featuring the image of Walking Liberty on the obverse and a take on the Great Seal of the United States, the image features 13 stars representing the original colonies, and a bald eagle behind the heraldic shield of America on the reverse. Minted in 0.999 Fine Silver weighing 1 troy ounce, the coin carries a face value of one dollar though it is far more value with prices fluctuating with the spot price of silver.
